Vicky chapple

Vicky is a practicing artist and lecturer who has exhibited artwork in the Ikon Gallery, Birmingham; the Herbert Museum and Art Gallery, Coventry.  Also, locally at the LSA gallery, and the Lighthaus in Leamington; Kenilworth, Birmingham. Other exhibitions of her work have been shown in public art in Solihull for Surreal Solihull (ongoing); Birmingham BID Light with Pear. And other galleries in the Midlands and Warwickshire over the years.

Throughout all her artwork Vicky celebrates colour in nature. Her work in acrylic paint is in an impressionistic, often figurative, style.  When she has completed a body of work she often goes into abstract to celebrate all the colours she has used and mixed for the series. 

Her mixed media artwork is often expressionistic to express the desired effect, and her love of textile features in some of her works as a method of telling a story. She uses watercolour for illustration purposes creating smaller paintings and card designs.
