Service Description

This collage and mixed media workshop encourages participants to experiment with various materials such as paper, fabric, paint, photographs and found objects, looking at how to layer and integrate different elements for visual impact. The class encourages experimentation, allowing participants to develop their artistic voice while exploring themes such as abstraction, storytelling and personal expression. Some materials are included such as scissors, glue, magazines and paper, but students are encouraged to bring anything that will make their collage unique and personal, for example fabric or old photographs. Price: £36 The workshop is run by artist and designer Sophie Clausen. Sophie worked as Senior Graphic Designer at the RSC, holds a BA in Fine Art from Goldsmith College, University of London and an MA in Art & Design from Chelsea College of Art & Design. She was an artist in residence at the Art Students League of New York where she was taught by the renowned American assemblage artist Bruce Dorfman.
