Portrait Day: Councillor Kate Rolfe

Join us at Brook Arts Hub on Saturday 10th January, from 11am-3pm, for Portrait Day: Kate Rolfe, Chair of Stratford-on-Avon District Council. Kate Rolfe has been a Town, District and County Councillor for over 17 years. She has been Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon twice and is currently Chair of Stratford-on-Avon District Council. She will be the model for the day. At the end of the session, Kate will choose her favourite artwork, which can be a painting, a drawing, a sculpture, or a mixed-media piece, which she will purchase from the artist and put on display in her office at Stratford-upon-Avon District Council. All the other artworks will be on display at Brook Arts Hub for a month. The portrait session will run from 11am until 3pm, including breaks and refreshments. Please bring your own materials such as paper, card, canvas, pencils, brushes, pastels, paints, clay or other mediums. At Brook Arts Hub we encourage a variety of art forms and experimentation. Easels, chairs and tables are available. This is not a taught class, but for anyone who enjoys being creative and creating portraits. No experience is needed, the session is open to all, at all levels. A good portrait is about catching someone’s inner life – and there are no rules for that.
