Join legendary fiddle player and workshop leader, Joe Broughton, for a two-day immersive folk music experience! Joe Broughton is renowned for his dynamic and approachable teaching style, making this workshop an exceptional opportunity for players of all levels and instruments to dive deep into the world of folk music. Whether you’re a fiddler, guitarist, percussionist, or any other folk musician, you’ll learn practical techniques, explore traditional tunes (not necessarily in a traditional way!), and gain invaluable insight into the art of folk arranging and performance. Joe Broughton is a celebrated figure on the UK folk scene, best known for his powerful fiddle playing and electrifying stage presence. He has toured the world and played as session musician with acts such as The Albion Band, Joss Stone, and The Urban Folk Quartet, and is the founding member of the Conservatoire Folk Ensemble. Joe has taught at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Guildhall School of Music and Drama as well as leading countless large scale projects for Music For Youth and other organisations.
