Beginners Throwing Taster

Class description

Come and spend some time in the Form & Fire studio at Brook Arts Hub and give pottery wheel throwing a go! In this 2 hour workshop you'll get hands-on tuition and learn the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. The session is led by experienced potter, Ruth, who will give you her advice and knowledge to help you get to grips with this fun and creative skill. During the session, you will see a throwing demonstration from Ruth and then you will be free to throw as many pots as you like in the remaining time. Usually, participants throw 2-3 pots during the workshop. From the pieces you have made you will then pick your favourite one and Ruth will trim, glaze and finish your pot in the following weeks.
